Boca Raton, Florida – Attorney Mark R. Osherow, founder of Boca Raton-based Osherow, PLLC, has received a 2023 Best Lawyers® in America award for the ninth year in a row in the area of business litigation. Based entirely on peer review, this national legal publication says it uses “a methodology designed to capture, as accurately as possible, the consensus opinion of leading lawyers about the professional abilities of their colleagues within the same geographical area and legal practice area.”

“This honor is meaningful since it is based on peer reviews,” said Osherow. “To me, that’s the highest career honor to be endorsed by my fellow attorneys in my community and area of practice.”

Peer review surveys are conducted with tens of thousands of leading lawyers, who confidentially evaluate their professional peers. According to the publication, lawyers are not permitted to pay fees to participate or be recognized in this program. Plus, they must maintain enough positive votes each year.

Osherow was also recently honored for the fourth year in a row as a “Top Lawyer” by Palm Beach Illustrated magazine and recognized for the 16th consecutive year as a Florida Super Lawyer® and was honored again be included in the Top 100 Miami Super Lawyers List. He also was selected as one of America’s Top 100 High Stakes Litigators® for 2021 and 2022. Selection to America’s Top 100 High Stakes Litigators® is by invitation only and is reserved to identify the nation’s most exceptional trial attorneys in high value, high stakes legal matters. He also maintains an AV rating by Martindale Hubbell.

Osherow is certified as a specialist in business litigation by The Florida Bar since 2006 and is admitted to practice before all Florida, Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey state courts. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern districts of Florida as well as before several other federal trial courts. At the appellate level, Osherow is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.

A seasoned lawyer with more than 34 years of experience and a resident of Palm Beach County since 1994, Osherow handles business disputes and related matters through trial or arbitration. These matters include trade secret misappropriation, noncompete agreement breaches, and shareholder and partnership disputes. His real estate litigation experience encompasses residential and commercial real estate fraud and title disputes and construction litigation of highly contested matters. Osherow’s intellectual property litigation background includes data breaches, theft and piracy of electronic data and platforms, as well as copyright and trademark infringement matters.

He received his Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He is involved in the Craig S. Barnard American Inn of Court and the Palm Beach County Bar Association. A past president of the South Palm Beach County Bar Association, he completed two terms on the Florida Bar’s Board of Legal Specialization and Education and serves on the Florida Supreme Court’s Committee on Standard Jury Instructions – Contract and Business Cases.

PartNer Kenyetta Alexander ELECTED NSU LAw Board Member

(Boca Raton, Florida) -- Kenyetta N. Alexander, a Partner at Osherow, PLLC, a South Florida law firm, has been elected to the Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law Board of Governors, announced by Board Chair Douglas McIntosh. She joins three other local lawyers in the Class of 2026.

Alexander, a 2006 graduate of the NSU College of Law, is an experienced commercial litigator with more than 15 years of experience, having handled a wide range of complex disputes in both federal and state courts, as well as before FINRA and the American Arbitration Association. She focuses her practice on business and commercial litigation involving various issues concerning business, partnership and corporate disputes, as well as construction, real estate, probate and labor and employment law.

“This appointment represents a pinnacle of my career so far,” said Alexander. “I’m looking forward to giving back to the University that gave so much to me during law school and helped mold me to become the attorney I am today.”

Alexander earned her bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from LaGrange College in LaGrange, Georgia. In 2021, she was honored by the March of Dimes as a Woman of Distinction. She currently chairs the ADR Committee of the Palm Beach County Bar Association, is a member of the Craig S. Barnard Inns of Court, a Committee Member for the 2022 March of Dimes Woman of Distinction and a Member of Camelot’s Advisory Board, which assists Camelot Community Care foster relationships in the community to bring together foster children with foster parents
